  • A tutorial for Cscope posted under project (From ECE482).
  • Cscope reference guide posted under HSPICE information.
  • Sample final project report posted under project. Please show the results in a similar fashion (without the noise part).
  • In the AC simulation, please show the beta*A-the loopgain - instead of just A. To simulate the loop gain, you have to cut the close loop configuration at the summing node (opamp input). Then the opamp is loaded by load capacitor + feedback capacitor serially connected with input capacitor. The AC response from the opamp input to the connection node of the feedback capacitor and the input capacitor is the loop gain.

Course Info

Welcome to the ECE 483 course homepage. This course is concerned with transistor-level analog circuit design and analysis. Both bipolar and MOS technologies will be considered, with a strong emphasis placed on the CMOS technology to be in line with the current trend of IC design.

Prerequisites: ECE 442 (old ECE 342) or similar background.

Lectures: TR, 2:00 pm -3:20 pm, Room 106B1 Engineering Hall

Textbook: Gray, Hurst, Lewis & Meyer, "Analysis & Design of Analog ICs", 4th ed., Wiley, 2001.

References: 1) Razavi, Design of Analog CMOS Integrated Circuits, McGraw-Hill, 2001.
