TMS320C54x Software

To work with the TI microprocessor, you will need Code Composer, TI drivers and libraries, and an assembly compiler installed onto the computer that you are working on.

Some of the computers in the ECE 345 lab should have the TMS320C54x software already installed onto them. If they do not or you need somthing installed onto the computers. You will either need to have Joshua Potts or Andrew Assad install the software on a certain computer for you or give you administration rights to a computer. However, they normally hesistate in giving people administration rights to a computer in lab. Only in special cases would they give admin rights.

They can be found in room 242EL, right across the hall from the lab. When you talk to them they will probably have you email them with...
  • The software that you want intalled.
  • Where they can get the software. In the TI's case just tell them you would like Code Composer, the TI libraries, and the assembly complier. They know where to obtain them.
  • Which computer in which lab you want the software installed on.
They normally will have the software installed on the computer the next day, at most withing 2 days.
